Born in the heart of the Central American city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Cleonique Hilsaca started her journey to becoming an artist while in middle school. Her passion for drawing and design led her to study at the Savannah College of Art & Design, graduating with a B.F.A. in Illustration and a minor in Graphic Design. Besides her love for sketching, Cleoniques simple and light hearted style is almost purely digital. Inspired by children's stories, nature and comics, her work has been exhibited in the US and internationally. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
